Mine was about the same. She pulled up said "here's your car, let's go take care of the paperwork." I replied by inspecting the car up and down twice and then heading off for a test drive. Everything checked out so we were good to go!

Congrats on the delivery !

Thanks! Besides the delivery experience, the car is freaking awesome!

You are lucky to get a test drive, i got nothing lol!

Mine was very different. The first thing the delivery guy did was point out a very minor blemish of paint that he promised to write-up when we got to the paper work. He helped me go through the checklist, showed me a couple of things on the tablet, spent 90 minutes at my house, told me Tesla budgeted 2 hours at the handover site. He and I forgot to document the blemish, but I was impressed and relieved after what I had read.

Sounds like you had a great delivery experience. I wish all the employees were that detailed. My delivery guy gave me the impression every question I asked was a bother to him.

Lucky you. Took 4 hours off work. Delivery was 8am-10am. No car showed up. Called my local office - their "computer is down" and they yelled at me for expecting home delivery "WHO SAID YOU WOULD GET YOUR CAR AT HOME,"

After providing them emails and all the texts, they said "we are short on manpower. We can't find your car. Let us call you back"

Yes, it looks as if I was lucky. The physical delivery processed assuaged a negative experience with my trade-in. The offer dropped $2010 from the original, well within the 30 days the first was said to be good for.

Repeated contacts with several different "specialists" each of which claimed they could see no trace of the original offer or my earlier communications with a copy were to no avail until Tesla finally confirmed they'd honor their original offer after the delivery guy had set off for my home. That seemed less than a new way of selling cars.

I had my P3D delivered yesterday and my in home delivery experience was great! The associate spent about 30 min going over all the car and settings, creating my profile and getting mine and my wife's phones paired. Couldn't have gone any better.

Why can't they all be like this? For a great product they made, they really should step up the service game!

I am still bitter about the delivery after 7 days, LOL

You're happy with your car which is the most important thing and it arrived before the end of the year. Really, try to put the brief home delivery experience behind you. We all know they are trying their best to get everyone their car before YE and they have pulled people to do home deliveries from other areas of the business just like they did end of 3rd quarter. Some people probably have trained home delivery specialists and others don't. Also keep in mind they haven't been producing thousands of cars a week for very long and apparently from Musk's comments doing it without much money on hand at that point so putting all the people in place and having them trained has been a work in progress as well as trying to set up and refine logistics of cars getting to their delivery centers. I think it's great they added the option of home delivery although it wasn't available for us on our Model 3. I was so nervous bringing it home on the crappy highway roads we have out here before getting it wrapped. Hope you are enjoying driving the car and have a great holiday.
