Recent MYP Delivery Estimates

They won't be delivering vehicles with the new batteries or castings until probably Spring 2022 or later. They aren't anywhere close to mass-producing the batteries or castings yet.

Plus, there's people already taking deliveries of MY LRs that ordered this month.... Chances are, you'll take delivery before we will.

For what this may be worth, I got a reply from the store where I did my test drives:

1. They completely ignored all of my questions/concerns about Tesla Vision
2. They’re installing PPF on the rear doors but mud flaps must be purchased
3. They said that the new headlights are MYP exclusive

Did you know that? Could that be why we're getting VIN way later that people getting a MYLR?

I don't think so, they've been coming out of the factory for months with the new headlights.

It's purely that P models are manufactured later in the cycle than LR, that's it. Some Ps have gone out, but the vast majority of the cars shipped over the past month have been LRs, and now as the firmware updates are going out those cars are ready to sell. There are going to be some Ps out there ready to go, but may not have gotten the updates yet.

Not disagreeing with you but if you were to order one today, the wait time is substantially less then ordering a LR.

My only question is whether Performance is last OVERALL or whether each color of Performance is manufactured at the end of each COLOR's production run (the line tries to produce as many of a single color as possible at a time.

I have to get my MYP before 6/20, otherwise I'll have to pass on this delivery window. Jesus, I didn't think ordering a car would stress me that much!

How long do you have to pay from when you get your VIN? Anyone know?
Also my estimate dates came back today after another solid week of it missing. 6/7-6/27. Ordered 5/7.

Ordered a MYP on 05/05. EDD has been holding steady at 06/09 - 06/24 but checked this morning and it now says 05/30 - 06/19. Always fun to see the dates move closer to give some hope.

Same order date, on the other coast though. Just pushed to 6/10 - 6/24 though. Drove by the local SC and saw a ton of MY’s waiting to be delivered today too. Such a waiting game.

Mine disappeared but was back this morning at 6/17-6/30 which it’s been steady at for a while. MYP, MSM, FSD, Tow ordered 4/1 in TX initially was 5-9 weeks. Today is 8 weeks in.
