The app seems to be very specific! The car sticker applies to your car. All of the others are "generic" which may or may not apply.
Not the measurement, the recommendedThe app now uses values measured when the TPMS system was last reset. It hasn't always been like that.
So I can change the recommended tire pressure?Recommended tire pressure in the app and on the main MCU screen is fully customizable and can either be a. reset to generic defaults or b. set to whatever you want (artifically low, or exceedingly high).
Depending on how its set, it will also shift the TPMS low and high pressure alert thresholds.
I'm talking about the recommended. It now gets set to the pressures you have when you reset/relearn. You need to use an accurate gauge to set the pressures then relearn TPMS and the recommended values will be set. Don't be surprised if they differ from the guage by 1 or 2 PSI though. Not the measurement, the recommended
Ding ding ding, correct. So I can change the recommended tire pressure?
If I change what is recommended, then it's not recommended anymoreDing ding ding, correct.
It is still recommended, but now by the owner or the tinkerer (or one and the same).
-Tesla has their multiple recommendations
-Elon has his recommendations
-MPP has their recommendations
-Other vendors have their recommendations
-Tire and wheel enthusiasts on and off here have their recommendations
(as many as the unique user ID count on here)
I choose 9 inch in the menuDifferent tires have different inflation recommendations, and the car can’t know what tires you have mounted. For example, my winter tires (Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3) are recommended at 45 psi. The OEMs are 42 psi IIRC.
