Tesla offers new $3,000 discount or free Supercharging with trade-ins, slashing prices further
Tesla is offering an additional $3,000 off of select vehicles, or free Supercharging for 3 years on trade-ins as the EV price war heats up.www.teslarati.com

Doesn't every brand do that? Another reason to use CarMax. The BMW dealers offered about $6K trade-in for 335. Carmax $11K. We signed the papers and took the check as fast quick as we could.Trying the ol “advertise a good list price and screw them on the trade” trick I see
Yes they do. It’s just amusing watching all the same stuff happen at the place that doesn’t have dealers they have showrooms and fixed pricing wink winkDoesn't every brand do that? Same here - the trade-in offer on my Model S was lower than expected, through the $3K potentially helps. Not seeing anything when I went to trade in page expect an absurd offer.
Exactly. Maybe Tesla will pull this off once again and beat delivery estimates this quarter, maybe not.I would be watching inventory trends, maybe this will be enough but there's every indication further incentives will be coming especially as the end of quarter approaches
Is this verified information? I track ships and missed this. I'm waiting for the VIN too.Someone in Europe getting VINs assigned recently ? A ship full of MS and MX got to Germany last Friday.
Update: got to the delivery appointment, vehicle wasn't ready. They came by a few minutes later and said that they heard a distinct rattle coming from the rear middle seat (which is odd, the 6 seat doesn't have any "middle" seats?) and that the techs needed to look at it, but they were just about to go on lunch. Didn't want to waste all day there, so they gave me the option to have it delivered to my house. Made it seem like it could be later today, but after 19 months, what's another few hours/days?July 2021 order date (I know). MXLR, 6 seats, with FSD (I know), red. price I'm paying is still 23k below current price, even after the price drop, so I can't complain there.
Had two VINs assigned for the first time in late December, but that was Tesla playing games to get as many deliveries as possible. I had told them before VIN assignment that I was out of town and they said no problem.
Anyway, they put it on hold until mid Jan. VIN assigned 1/26 PF3818xx. Scheduled delivery on Tuesday. Financing through a local credit union because they could get it done fast enough, will refinance with Tower at 2.99 afterwards.
Will let everyone know how delivery goes!
For the love of God...don't do home delivery!Update: got to the delivery appointment, vehicle wasn't ready. Uh oh - what's wrong with home delivery? For the love of God...don't do home delivery!
Exactly. The port of destination has always been ZeebruggeI don't think Tesla ships go to Germany, at least according to Shipping Movements 2023.
There’s nobody there to help fix anything on the spot that you may notice. Also it’s already in your driveway so the pressure to keep it goes up greatly.Uh oh - what's wrong with home delivery?
My bad, I did not look closely where the ship went exactly. I was writing about the Morning Lena that shipped to Zeebrugge, you are right.Exactly. The port of destination has always been Zeebrugge
