Believe that manufacturers of all sorts are dealing with missing, non-critical parts. They can decide to just warehouse those almost finished goods, or deliver them to customers as is.
With demand super high, Tesla will need to decide to deliver their cars, with a due bill for those expected items, or can simply let them stack up in their storage lots till the tiny USB connectors come in.

Better than just letting their omission be a surprise for their new owner, to leave a list of items missing on delivery.
Agreed but they really need to be transparent and up front about what’s missing with the due bill. Not what they are doing right now.

Way better than my 2018 Model 3. I want to point out that the 2018 3s have worse noise than most 2019+ 3/Y, they changed trunk design to eliminate some road noise in early 2019 I believe. I can try some decibel tests with an app, although phone microphone measurements probably aren't the most accurate.
I got x 2018 can not have a descent phone conversation while driving on the highway, could you please elaborate more about is it in the refresher one driving on the hight with blue tooth ?

Oh you sweet summer child.

Come to The Netherlands, where a liter unleaded 95 costs you 2.20 EUR (that equates to 8.32 EUR per gallon ( or 9.53 USD to the gallon))
Where you pay 69 eurocents for a kWh at public charging stations (thank god for SC's at 24 cents) and gas to heat your home is at a staggering 1.70 EUR per m3.

You could do a lot worse :p
We love large SUVs here in the Texas Hill Country. Thankfully ours is an X. The highest I’ve ever seen gas here in the US was 2011ish when I was in New Hampshire. It was around $5 a gallon for 87 then.

Luckily we only drive two Tesla’s now (this patched together 2020 X that we will replace with the refreshed one and a Y). We installed a 23kW solar system earlier this year so no gas and a minimal electric bill for us. 😉

I’m still convinced the only reason Europe uses liters is to make gas seem cheaper. 😂

Thanks for the reply. I’m neurotic about these things and am always worried some object will not be detected (like the rail attachment in the photo). Good to know about the manual intervention and the 1/2 height option.
My wife backed in to unload groceries from the trunk the other day. The white storage hanger I use for empty suitcases and pet travel carriers.

The front edge of the hanger was over the back 1/2 of the FWD. When I went to open it I think it would have hit if I wouldn’t have grabbed it.

I’ve also parked in low ceiling parking garages with pipes that haven’t been an issue. I don’t know if it was because it was only over part of the door but it was close enough to make me nervous.

The first few times you open it try it while standing outside the door so you can stop it if it gets too close.

Wow, that's is a big A$$ solar system. If you don't mind asking how many KWh it produce a day in summer vs now?

For the ones who have a wall charger installed and are waiting for your X; my SA told me months ago that though I can technically purchase it, the wall charger can only be installed/activated once VIN is actually assigned and not before. How does this work then?
Thanks a lot! My car saw this post and now refuses to charge until I register its VIN with Tesla.

All kidding aside, that SA should be canned.

If it’s a sunny day I get roughly 20kW less right now.

The increase in cloudy days make a bigger impact than the length of the day. I’m on track to produce a little over 1.5 MWh in November vs 2.4 MWh in September. The lower energy usage in November is from less air conditioning with the cooler weather.
