I have a 7 seater, white/black/20’’/no FSD ordered April 14 2021 and mine has shown “building” since the app first updated.
they most likely will try to get deliveries done quickly in December so Q4 numbers look great so if you are away they probably would move to the next person in line

In all seriousness I’m guessing this is just the start of what will likely be a VERY busy year end for Tesla as they cram as many deliveries in for S/X as possible in year.
Since I'm not a LE order I didn't receive a thing. "Supposedly" the rest of us will receive the notice by the end of the year. From what I read it looks like a 2023 delivery, at best!

I thought this was interesting. Obviously this likely does not apply the the Model X units that have been sitting dark in the test track but interesting to know that they are now enforcing a 30-day policy when delaying an order. Maybe this frees up ONE Model X!?
Also a PSA - pay for your car!Edit: Everyone on this forum is pretty hyped. But I wonder how many people have made other car arrangements in the 12+ months they have waited for their X and ultimately will pass their car onto the next buyer. There must be a few.

This is really interesting as it would imply there are 100s of model X refresh and we just aren’t seeing them since this forum represents just a small slice of the overall community.
It's highly unlikely Tesla is assigning VINs sequentially to each manufactured X.

Yeah reservation numbers might be obfuscated but I think VIN are required to be sequential. They could allocate some for manufacturing use but I doubt it would be that many pulled out of circulation for that reason at this point.

No, it's not always sequential. There are numerous historical examples where trackers have shown that Tesla assigns batches of VINs but doesn't seem to manufacture in that order. The situation goes back as early as 2013 when Model S manufacturing was being tracked.

First off, congrats! Secondly, you should receive details on your delivery from your SA. For some in this forum, their delivery date is set for 3 weeks from now. So not sure if it'll be in a few days, but never know.
