Refreshed 2021+ Model X and Model X Plaid waiting room

Good news for Canadians - despite there not being any Canadian VINs yet, the Luxury tax has been delayed so more than likely if you have an order made in 2021 you won't have to pay the luxury tax when/if it comes into effect later in 2022

I was under the knowledge that as long as you ordered prior to April 2021 you were okay.

That being said, this is great news for the remainder of the orders.

I ordereder March 14/2021. White. 5 seats. 20inch...... you know....the "cheapest" X. Lol.

Nice... I live in Dallas and I called my local SC today. Apparently no Model X's have been delivered in Dallas yet. Hope mine comes soon.

Just got my VIN. Ordered on 1/25/21 a MSM 6 seat white interior. About to pay for it and noticed the $2000 credit is not there. Called Tesla and they said that is in process and not to pay until I see the credit there.

Anyone else gone through that already? Did you get credit for ordering before the refresh announcement?

I dealt with this today (taking delivery on Friday). The $2k credit didn't get applied until after my delivery day/time was scheduled and I had already sent in the dealer funding request for 3rd party financing. The very last step was for me to e-sign documents via the Tesla app and pay the remaining balance via the Tesla app. That is when the 2k discount was finally applied.

tl;dr: Don't pay until you have your delivery day/time scheduled and your delivery specialist is texting and calling you to e-sign your documentation via the tesla app.

Cream looks awesome in person. If Tesla ever gets another order from me that's the way I'll go I've had black interiors for 84 years. The black refresh interior I saw today looked nice but...still black. Also somebody forgot to install the steering wheel

Same February EDD for our Plaid X B/B/20" changed from 5 to 6 seat in October, originally ordered 3/11/2021

Thankfully we got a Performance Y on 6/10/21 & have been sharing one car since then as we had sold our M3 2020 a week later and Volvo T8XC90 in May thinking the X Plaid was going to be delivered buy our original date promised.

I spoke with someone at Tesla today. I innocently asked him about Plaid deliveries. He said something along the lines of Plaid X deliveries are very rare, but he has seen "a few". It's unclear if he meant deliveries are those scheduled to be delivered.

I took it with a massive grain of salt.

Sorry for your loss. The last couple of weeks have been quite a Rollercoaster. 11/30 got VIN 12/2 lost VIN and was quite upset about that then 12/4 my father had 3 major strokes, got a call from the sheriff to do a welfare check 12/6 so had them break in to check on him. He was unresponsive but breathing. Emergency flight to North Dakota on the 9th ( swore I would never go back their during the winter) and he passed away on the 10th. Being upset over not getting a car just feels silly now in the big picture. Trying to keep up with the pages of posts on here every day helped give me something else to distract myself with insted of just being overwhelmed with everything I need to figure out now. Also I have gotten more informed on what is going on from everyone here than from Tesla. Sorry for such a long rant.

Man, I so want this to be true. Ordered my LR in April but switched to Plaid in June. I’m on the forever Feb EDD right now looking for any sign they are going to make Plaid someday.

My SA told me the same thing I’m February EDD but ordered in July 2021. So I’m well down the line. Not expecting February at all.

There were a couple folks in here who said they got the call to switch to a 6 seater for an end of year delivery. We have seen plaids in the flyover videos, but who knows what the delay is there. Maybe they will try to clear pre-refresh orders first then start ramping production on plaids?
