I had a range of Feb 10-Mar 3, then switched to April a few days ago, now as of today it’s July. Though it means a few more months of the minivan as our family car, and though I’ve seen later order dates get delivered at the same SC (Devon), I’m OK with it. My wife is on the fence already due to the cost, and if we got a poor build, it would be big trouble. I’d also like adaptive headlights. So I’m definitely hoping the typical build quality improves, and headlights would be the icing.

As for FSD, the beta works great on the roads around me (Philly burbs). I often take over for turns just because I get impatient with its super conservative approach, but when I let it do its thing it works… outside predictable situations like turning into a right lane where I need to make a left from the left lane in 1/8 mile and there’s traffic on the road. I especially love that you can set the speed limit above +5mph on surface roads, because the prevailing speed on many of the roads around here is above that.

Bottom line, I don’t think FSD is all that close to driving my kids to school without an adult in the car… among other things they haven’t even spent a bit of brainpower on how to handle pick-ups and drop-offs (which door or parking lot, car lines or waiting areas, etc.). But I really appreciate it as a very advanced driver assist.

Yep July 22 for a 1-29-01 order. What in the F are they doing?
You ordered yours in 2001? Haha. I'm just kidding.

Extremely frustrating indeed.

We are from Canada, and at this point considering not a single frigging X has been delivered here, I feel we are years away from delivery.

Tesla should be embarrassed and ashamed of what they are doing to their highest affinity group regarding those who can luckily afford to buy an X.

As I've said before, they are sooooooooo lucky they have no competition.

Guess it’s a placeholder. Darn. Was hoping at least 5 seaters would have stuck to April EDD. Depending on how my stocks do this year may add a MXP order to get it sooner and then can sell it or the 7 seater for profit (pre price increase order). Hard to justify having both MSP and MXP to my better half though.

Glad to read you guys all got pushed out.

I’ve got a LR 5 seater since last January. Been chatting with my service rep and someone from Fremont about what a crock of *sugar* it is our cars take this long, but more importantly a year in they can’t even honestly communicate if or when my car will arrive. I was told the EDD date is the best available date Tesla has and that’s what I should go off of. I explained to them the history of my EDD and how it’s not the most accurate info Tesla has, because over the past year it has been factually wrong, not just inaccurate… that they had better information and they just refuse to be honest with their customers.

I thought I was being retaliated against.

I picked up my MXP yesterday. Weather did not cooperate and it rained for the duration of delivery.

Thanks for the detailed checked list. I checked the items I could, given the weather. I did not find anything obvious that was missing or needed fix.

My thoughts on the car
1. It's an excellent car. Very quiet and plush. Amazing tech. I did not find any panel gaps, or paint issues. But rain prevented me from doing a thorough check on paint.
2. I can hear some squeaks and rattle in the car. The most annoying is somewhere around dash, when the car goes over rough surface streets. And, San Diego has a lot of such roads. I have setup a service appointment (it's after 6 weeks).
3. There was no USB thumb drive for sentry mode. Should I have gotten one with the car?
4. The car had both floor mats (front and second row). Should frunk and trunk have a mat as well? I asked the delivery specialist, and the answer was no.

I am not 100% sure if Plaid is worth the extra 30K.
I'll post some pics when the weather improves and I can get it out in the open.
I also have the squeak in the dashboard on the driver side when driving over rough roads. It is the only squeak/rattle in the car. It is currently in service. I will post regarding outcome when I get the car back.
