remove MX center console flip door?

I want to clean the console flip door; there is melted chocolate on the underside and I can’t reach it to clean it, but it still manages to get on stuff! I can’t figure out how to thoroughly clean it, and also can’t figure out if the flip door is removable.

Any genius ideas, either for cleaning, or removal?

Hi @artichoke.dip ,

Try removing the rubber flap with 5 ridges in front of 12 volt outlet.
With that out of the way, you may see connections for the flip door.

I seem to remember doing something in there for a phone charger a long time ago...
