Requesting charger donation for school project

Hello all,

I know this is a big ask, but I'm going to MIT and trying to make an autonomous vehicle charger (CAD here), and would like to use a charger without hacking the only one I have. Would anyone out of the generosity of their hearts want to help sponsor me with a charger (UMC Gen 1, Gen 2, Corded 14-50, or Wall, not picky!) they aren't using? Or even a discount? Not a tax professional, but maybe it's deductible as a donation?
