Rock Chip on Windshield (in Bay Area - CA)

I had my car recalibrated under warranty, it just took them hooking a laptop to it and changing a setting, though perhaps they didn't even need the laptop to initiate the recal. They used it to check the image from each of the cameras.

Sadly, now my DashCam image has a black area along the bottom when the housing blocks the light. I think it recal'ed to a slightly lower position. Wonder if they'll fix that.

Did they do it remotely or did you have to bring it in?
I was told by my insurance that once I change the windshield, I will have to calibrate it else would lose coverage

Took it in, I had an appt. and that was one of the things they did.
