Rock strike on windshield - critical hit in camera well. New windshield?

Got a critical hit rock strike right in the area in front of the recessed camera well, which appears to have heating element behind it. I'm not sure if this is reparable or not. I'm 10 days out for a rock chip repair date, but would like to get a sense of the likelihood that this windshield is toast beforehand.

Should be fine. Chip repairs restore most of the optical qualities and the camera might not even see that extreme corner anyway.

I use the $12 Rain-X kit to repair my frequent chips. It takes about 15 minutes to do the whole process, or 30 minutes to repeat it a couple of times for near perfection.

Thanks for the reply. I've had countless chips repaired successfully in the past (and few windshield replacements on previous cars), but wasn't sure if the heating element in this spot will make it difficult to repair.

That would had been an instant replacement in Norway since it looks like you also have cracks going out from it up right and up left.

There are shooting cracks leading out. Typically, they say here that if the cracks don’t exceed a U.S. quarter coin in diameter, it can be repaired. This one is close. I guess I’ll find out on the 28th.
