Today while I was driving into work a rock flew off a truck and hit the front of my roof glass and cracked it. Do you know if this would be covered by the typical windshield insurance also who would I go for this type of replacement safe-lite or Tesla themselves? Finally does anyone know how much it is to replace that if not covered by insurance? This is for a Model 3 LR.

I might suggest going to a couple of windshield repair places first to get their opinion if it can be repaired or needs replacing. The wife (who knows about insurances) seems to think some insurances cover it as a part of the policy and some don't, and some might want the deductible.
My person experience is that I have never had Safe-lite to be competitive. My last chip was quoted at $145 by them, but I got it done at a local place that also specializes in windshield repair and it was $40.
