Roof Rack carrier question

Has anyone used this carrier from harbor freight with their OEM roof rack? I am considering putting the frame of my mom's scooter in it, weights less than 50 lbs. The carrier is 26 lbs, so well below the 150 weight limit.

Does anyone have a similar design they recommend instead?

I remember someone mentioning in a TMC thread that the distance
between the attachments didn't match the location of the Tesla roof rack rails.

Because of the glass roof, I would rather try to use a folding basket,
that could be attached behind the rear bumper and keept in vertical postion when not in use.
But you need to install a tow hitch bar.

Right. Here's a relevant section of the installation manual which assumes you can adjust the distance between the crossbars. If not lucky, you might have to improvise.

The crossbars are 28" apart.

I did wind up trying this cargo carrier from harbor freight. I installed it tonight for my upcoming road trip on Thursday to Florida.

In the test drive after installation it hummed stoned 60 mph, so I put some rubber strips below the plastic pieces the carrier secured to the crossbars with.
