Scheduled software update postpones scheduled charge time

Had some unexpected scheduling behaviour. Anyone else seen this? Posting here in case it helps someone else in future.

Scheduled a software update at the end of scheduled charging last night. The software update started and completed at the scheduled time but no charging happened at all.

The chargepoint was set not to provide power outside scheduled off peak hours as well as the car being scheduled to delay charging until the start of off peak hours. I use both forms of scheduling at home as we have 2 EVs and sometimes need to charge the Tesla from a dumb mains AC slow charger. Normally works fine but software update seems to have postponed scheduled charge start. Charging fine this morning once chargepoint overridden to supply power outside peak hours.

If I remember correctly, the car won't charge while it updates. It seems that threw off your charging schedule but now that it's done, everything should go back to normal.

From the user manual: Install phase: During the install phase, you cannot drive. If plugged in, your vehicle will stop charging until the installation is complete.

Best thing to do is try to install your SW updates as soon as you are not going to use the car. If you have scheduled charging daily, obviously it would be wise to install any updates before the scheduled charging timeframe to avoid conflicts.
