Sound proofed my 2022 model S completely, even the firewall behind front dash.

I did this by using a lot of dynamat extreme, even stacking multiple coat where there was bad vibrations (doors / speaker aera especially)

2-3 db less than before at 50 mph. Also reduced vibration on high volume down to almost none which change sound quality drastically

Wow so if I understand correctly a 3db decrease is half as loud, is that noticeable? I find that I have to turn up the volume any time I get to 50-50mph which means it’s getting louder. I averaged 67db on my drive to work today according to “ decibel x “ app

-3dB is half the power.
-10dB is Half the perceived volume.

It's good to decouple the MLV from the car using closed cell foam (CCF). Also you don't want any gaps, because the sound will just enter through there.

is that what is called the Spring-Mass method used on the Audi e-Tron?
