Sentry mode/Dashcam Apple Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter

Hello

Can someone tell me how I can use the Apple Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter to view Sentry mode/Dashcam videos on my iPhone? When I plug in the device to my phone and the lightning port charging cable into the adapter once I plug in the USB stick it opens up my Photos. Where can I go to see the videos saved on the USB? I have iOS 12.2. Do I have to download a separate app? I know in iOS 13 this will be far easier but curious to know how to do this currently

I'm pretty sure that without IOS13 you have to use an memory stick that is designed for IOS and comes with software.

Correct. Native reading of a mounted file system is in iOS 13 (still in beta, but a public beta is available) but not in any prior version.
