Sentry mode - do you need EAP?

Sorry if this was already answered, but do you need to have purchased EAP in order to get Sentry Mode or is that available to all Model 3s and S/X with AP2.5 hardware?

Also, unrelated question, but do you get alerts through the app when Sentry mode is triggered or only when the alarm is triggered?
