Replacing both turbos in my BMW was a $20k job at the dealer, $10k with a private mechanic using BMW parts. If a front motor fails in a Lucid Air going over 5 mph it wipes out the electrical system, the BMS, inverter, and the battery, a $75,000 repair.Pray you never damage your front drive unit.
Per the manual, it's 266 steps to remove & replace, including post-op checks and alignment. Just a guess, but that's probably a $5k-$7k job minimum, including the new drive unit. Looking at that and a few videos, owning an out of warranty Tesla might require somehow having $10k in assets you can liquidate in a worser-case scenario
Gotta have context.
