I'm wondering why some Roadsters have a short hard top that fits in like the soft top, while most have a long hard top that extends over the carbon bow.
Are they both OEM Tesla parts? Or is the short one maybe from the Elise?
I used to tell people that it directs air to the rear spoiler to increase downforce
On the Exige it fed the engine, but for our cars it just goes right through. I thought about putting in vents on the underside to feed the cockpit... like old rally cars. But, I have since sold that top and got an Elise top that I wrapped in CF (as well as the real CF roll bar), that way it blends in nicely. I'll post pics soon.
So, now I have the OEM painted CF, the Elise "double bubble", and the soft top.
