Thanks for this link that translates the petition text into English.

Basically petitioning for something similar to California's ZEV mandate for the province of Quebec. The points are valid -- Quebec has lots of hydroelectric power, but few EVs are offered for sale there; Quebec has greenhouse-gas reduction goals in place but few concrete plans to help reach those goals, etc.

Use Doug_G's link to actually sign, if interested. FYI, it asks for an email address to which they send a validation email to complete the digital signature.

I join my voice in asking fellow TMC members to take a minute and sign the petition.

The province of Quebec gets more than 95% of its electricity from hydro and has very good rates for power (the highest tier for domestic use is 0.08$ / kWh).

Despite this, electric adoption is hamstrung by a government that preaches electrification but does not act accordingly, hence this grassroots effort started by EV enthusiasts (including our very own Slyastro).

The government requires 50,000 signatures in order to address the petition, and signatures are only accepted until March 3rd.
