Found a video on these Antenna that can replace the smaller Router OEM antennas. My signal was weak out in the driveway and my Model 3 wasn’t seeing the Updates. I would have to move the model 3 inside the garage after the Model Y got its update. These are 13.00 for a pair on Amazon. You can get a range extender or a single higher gain antenna into the garage or in front of your driveway. Note that where this router is located, I have a mess metal security door right in between the signal to the car. I don’t have long enough Cat5 cable to move it further.

The 2.4ghz signal improved but not the 5ghz, I think that it could be that steel mesh security door. Hopefully will have the longer Cat 5 cable tomorrow to move the router closer to the window. My Modem & Router is build for streaming and gaming and both are docsis 3.1 will see tomorrow if I can get all 5 bars.

This is what I installed on the outside wall of my garage.

EAP225-Outdoor | AC1200 Wireless MU-MIMO Gigabit Indoor/Outdoor Access Point | TP-Link

Just ran a direct burial CAT6 cable along the outside of the house to this unit. It’s powered over Ethernet so only one cable was needed for power and data. My car gets absolutely strongest signal possible, plus my phone gets great strong signal all through the backyard and most the front (it’s on the backside of the garage so for front yard the signal has to go through two walls)
