Snow Tires

Taking delivery on an SR+ tomorrow. I have a brand new set of snow tires from my Mercedes that I am trading out of. Was wondering if anyone knew if they would fit on the the 18 inch Aero wheels. I understand that maybe I cannot mount them all with the offset but if I can use 2 and not have to buy 4 new ones that would be huge.

I think they’ll all fit but the diameter is smaller than stock. The car will be lower and look a little funny. Not sure how handling will be affected. What does the offset have to do with it?

IIRC the rims on my old car were 8 inches wide on front and 8.5 on the rear. Not sure if that matters. I would probably match them and buy 2 more of the appropriate set. It seems the tires on the Tesla are in between these two sizes.

You should be be able to use all four on the stock 18" aeros without issue. I wouldn't buy any new tires or wheels to match up anything unless that really bothered you. The tires are within 1% diameter and the car will sit .5" closer to the ground v. the stock size tires.

Nothing to worry about, imo.
