Solar estimates

Anyone have Tesla install panels or roof recently? I'm just poking around at pricing now and i'm seeing that direct from Tesla estimates on their website are much much lower than estimates from local installers. For example, a Tesla installed roof estimates at $100K, while Rising Sun's estimator is all the way up at $280K. Another example of panels is Tesla estimating at $65K and Revoluson coming in at $110K. These are all pre-tax-incentive prices with powerwalls too.

In any case, I'm mostly wondering if Tesla's estimates for Hawaii installs are ever in the initial online estimate's ballpark or do they eventually sit much closer to the local installer rates?

The online estimate is very similar to what the contract says. I believe mine was about $500 dollars more.

I believe mine was spot-on. Granted, I had solar panels and Powerwalls, and not the entire roof, but I think Tesla rolls installation costs into their advertised price.

I concur. My solar + powerwall installation actual cost was exactly what was on the proposal. Installation costs were included in the proposed price.
