Isn’t Tesla the same? The max range being dependent on your previous driving style and behaviours?

No it's not dependent on previous drives. The calc is based on fixed WLTP/EPA range and the BMS' view of available battery based on temperature/degredation.

I have had a text last week to confirm delivery on company car order placed early Sep, now confirmed for delivery 25th Nov but I’ve not had a VIN. However it’s a lease through ALD, so I can’t access my account yet to check for VIN.
Does this mean I have a car allocated?
Wondering as I’ve ordered the SR+, So wondering what battery I have!

True this. As the SR+ used to be 5.6, before dropping to 5.3. The range also increased I think as well?

Every chance that the new "model 3" will reduce its 5.8 in time.

I think you may be confusing the original SR+ 0-60 times with the 0-100km/h time. The 0-60 was always 5.3 sec and the 0-100km/h was always quoted as 5.6 sec as far as I know. (And when we got the 5% free power boost in late 2019 the quoted speeds didn't change.)

I've read it elsewhere but as the Tesla website doesn't seem to mention it as part of their Comfort section I'm taking all of that as rumour

Read it somewhere, Tesla China VP have said they have plan for heated steering in SR, however, it wasn’t clear would it be paid optional or standard

Rear seat heating has been available for a while in base cars, as a paid for OTA update. £300 via the app and presto, happy rear seat passengers.
I was bullied into this purchase yesterday (stood waiting in the school playground for my little one). By the time we walked back to the car they were working.
To me that’s “Tomorrows World”

Be a nice surprise if Tesla do enable it for free on SR+, but I don't know why they would when it's all set up to be an additional revenue stream. They could just reduce the price if they wanted to.

I agree they would sell more heated seats if they reduced it to £100. And it wouldn’t cost them a thing to do this.

Just got an email from [email protected] confirming the SR+ Model 3 I ordered comes with the increased range, heated steering wheel and 5.6s 0-60 speed.

For reference I ordered on the 12th September, VIN allocated on 26th October and collecting 27th November.

Here's hoping everyone else in Q4 gets the same spec change.
