Not sure. Quicksilver is available in China already but not Cherry Red. Either they are now going to start supplying UK from Germany or the China paint shop has been upgraded. We will need to wait for VINs to confirm country of manufacture.Cherry Red / Silver were colour options, does that mean these cars are built in Berlin?
Yeah, now over £1,400 gross for a LR with enhanced autopilot with Tusker (12,500 miles, 36 months). Even with insurance they're pretty much assuming that the car has zero value after 3 years.
Thats what I was expecting! Haven't ordered any, I just go in every so often to check the pricing, as I am in the market, but timing I can be very flexibleHang fire if you’re thinking of buying, discounts are on their way

Yeah sadly if the glut of cars is not in RHD then no discounts for the UK.Model Y inventory is really high, but if you follow some of the trackers there’s also a lot of Berlin made cars in inventory and China made is relatively low, so it’s possible Berlin will start making for us to help balance demand across the factories. A second reason would be Panama and shipping issues, production relatively locally has multiple advantages.
Given that sales of Teslas in the UK are more than 33% down on 12 months ago and market share is significantly down they are going to have to do something to incentivise the market.Yeah sadly if the glut of cars is not in RHD then no discounts for the UK.
They could start with 0% APR as they are about the only BEV OEM that isn’t at 0% other than the high end luxury brands who they aren’t competing with.Given that sales of Teslas in the UK are more than 33% down on 12 months ago and market share is significantly down they are going to have to do something to incentivise the market.
As I understand it, Tesla are going to make RHD for the India market ex Berlin, so potentially that means UK and Ireland are possible to be ex Berlin as well.Just looked at ordering a Model Y (via Ireland), couple of ineteresting things I noticed
- Prices seem to have increased by 10% (from 2/3 weeks ago)
- Cherry Red / Silver were colour options, does that mean these cars are built in Berlin?
