I think a wiki should be built by people posting the amenities available near the Super Charger stations. Things to do, places to dine, shop or just a nice walk, are there any hotels nearby? Are they 1-2-3-4 stars? How about lighting and security?
While most of us cannot visit many of the SCs we can build a library of the ones we have visited.
Supercharger:
I'll start with the SC in St Augustine FL, which really isn't all that close to the town itself. This SC is located off exit 318 of I-95 which is FL Route 16. Travel a short distance west of the exit ramp and there will be an entrance to the outlet mall, the SC can be found in the parking lot of the mall.
The super charger site is fairly safe during business hours and very desolate in off/night time hours, that said you more than likely will not encounter any bad guys there, but nothing can be certain in the times we live in.
Dining:
The restaurant offerings are not all that great, within the mall and outside you'll find the usual fast food places. There is a BBQ place and a Cracker Barrel close by.
Shopping:
St. Augustine Premium Outlets
While charging the shops would provide plenty of things to walk around and look at,
Hotels:
The ones close by the mall are nothing all that special. 5 miles north is the World Golf Village with some more upscale places to stay.
Tourism:
If you travel about 7 miles east you'll be in the first European settled city in the USA, , St. Augustine, Florida, which is certainly worth spending some time visiting. You'll find some historical sites, many, many places to eat and a pedestrian-only street lined with all sorts of shops.
