You can request a firmware update through your app under schedule service. You will not need to go to the service center to complete this. They will just push it out to you.
I was stuck on 5.15 as well. I had to go to the SC anyway for an unrelated issue and while I was there they set it up for me. It takes them less than a minute to schedule it in their system.
