So today I replaced the stock puddle lights with the high output ones from Abstract Ocean. This odd thing happened. When I unplugged the stock light there was a loud thump in the door, window indexed back up and the whole car seemed to go dead electronically. The battery fans immediately stopped as well. As soon as I plugged in the new light, everything came back on instantly. Same thing happened when I did the passenger door. I cannot believe that these little puddle lights in the bottom of the doors are critical part of the whole 12V circuit in the car. Very strange indeed. On a side note I also replaced the ambient lights with the Abstract Ocean blue ones and it's very nice. Beautiful deep blue effect.
