Sunroof tint causes crack?

I had my local shop tint my MS windows, but they would not tint the sunroof. They said it would cause heat to be trapped in the glass and cause it to 'crack or explode'. I hadn't heard of this before. When I looked online, I saw others had received the same warning in the past for other cars. But I've obviously seen many mentions of Tesla owners getting the pano tinted, so curious if this is something to do with older sunroofs or what the deal was. Is this true for modern cars? Anyone know if this a real concern? I'm in Cincinnati area - not exactly the sunniest of places compared to AZ/CA/FL.

I had my roof done at a very high end, experienced tinter (he had a Model X in the shop and a Lambo when I was there). I asked about that and he said he has done it countless times before and never even heard it was an issue - and I live in a sunnier place than Cincinnati.
