Sunshade with Dashcam problem

Does anyone have a solution for using a sunshade and dashcam? I imagine having the dashcam between the shade and windshield will fry the device. I plan on adding my Blackvue 750. Has anyone mounted it to the dash?

It you get a rigid style sun shade, like a Heatshield ( https://www.amazon.com/HeatShield-Original-Tesla-Silver-Sunshade/dp/B07BVX82NJ) you can modify it to go around the dash game.

It already has a notch for the mirror/camera area, so just unstitch the cloth edging, lengthen the notch and put the edging back on (you may need to add more edging, but it's just a stripe of black cloth)

There is even a little spot for my dash cam to point out and record in parking mode.


However, I wasn't aware that putting this on would have an adverse effect on the camera. Have there been reported incidents of this?

I use Heatshield on my model S with Blackvue 750 and no issues so far. The 750 has better thermal dissipation compared to previous models, so it should be able to handle the heat with no adverse effects.
