Not open yet unfortunately, the only other Gainesville supercharger is very high utilization, so I agree we need this one bad!

I was on the One of the charging station apps and saw that they’re potentially building a Tesla super charging station somewhere close to the intersection of University Avenue and Main Street. That’s just a general Gainesville pin, the next station going in after the one on 39th will be at the Oaks Mall Plaza, near the old Toys R Us and Ocean Buffet.

Tesla is planning to build a new 24-stall supercharger at the Oaks Mall Plaza with the address 6795 W Newberry Rd, Gainesville, FL 32607. Found by Marco. This is currently listed as a Q123 target on Tesla's findus map.

Thank you for checking! Yeah, we ended up just going to Alachua. Wonder what's taking so long on 39th? Excited to have that there, as it's in a super convenient spot for me when I'm up that way.

Good news! The final piece, the large green, transformer has been installed! Activation is imminent!

Here are some photos! Still not active as of today (Monday. March 26, 2023), but possibly by the end of the week. Keep your fingers crossed.

There are 4 head-in stalls and 3 reverse-in stalls. If you have a Model S, give yourself enough clearance to swing in to the head-on stall so you don't hit the charging unit. I noticed that challenge when I did a "test parking" today.

By the way, the guys in the neon green are surveyors. Now that the Supercharger is there, they had to add it to the maps for the county.
