Agreed these are going to get ICE'd. The only place to put them in the surface lot that would have not been ICE'd would have been the NE corner near Pavilion Center and Charleston. The furthest walk from the parking lot to the casino.

I dont think they will be ICE’d. We are in the days of growing EV awareness and adoption. Like every other Tesla Supercharger in Vegas, there will be many Teslas charging at it and nobody will even want to mess with an entourage of Tesla owners.
With few exceptions ICE'ing at superchargers is a generally unfounded fear. Sometimes unoccupied superchargers get ICEd from time to time, but it rarely happens at busy superchargers (for the reasons you mentioned). Therefore, it's mostly a non-issue.

Reactions: Big Earl
Last Monday none of the L2 chargers on the 3rd floor West parking structure were working. The latching mechanisms on the handles were all working, which is surprising as they were all broken my last visit. Despite that, car would not charge. Verified by a second Tesla that also tried all 4. This Supercharger can't be finished soon enough.

Arrive with low state of charge after the long drive from LA. Check in and execute the usual casino routine. Starbucks opens at 5am in the lobby. Grab a coffee and move the car from the parking garage to the Supercharger. Guaranteed available at 5:10am. Head back in for some early morning video poker before the casino turns into a mad house. Head back to the Supercharger to move the car back into the parking garage. Ready to roll back to LA whenever. No need to leave the car in the sun/heat when charging just hit it early. Life is good.

Also, no broken handles like the J1772 units in the garage. I wonder what's going to happen to those units now, especially with universal NACS coming.

I notice there are no pricing tiers here when I check my app. Does anybody have info?
Plus this place is super convenient, get to park right in front of the casino, plug in, order and get your food from the food court, and your car is charged!

It appears to be a flat rate, no on-peak/off-peak pricing at this location. At least not yet...
Gotta be a rounding error on the amount of power the resort uses. Great incentive for food court visits like mentioned above. I will be there Friday morning to execute my plan. What does power cost in Nevada there for home charging? I pay $0.26 here in Pasadena fixed.

I'll bet you even money that before long there will be casinos with Superchargers having price wars, ending with free Supercharging. Getting feet in the Casino of financially stable patrons is worth $15 of power. Heck, they send me $50 of free play and I'm a small fry.

I pay 11-12 cents per kWh in Vegas. Any time of day. There are other power pricing options but not looked into them yet

The hotels charge parking. Locals have a reduced rate but still there is plenty of demand.

You may on to something with the Casino Supercharging business model.

The average Supercharger session lasts about twenty minutes. I don't see a very strong business model for casinos subsidizing Supercharger power. Level 2 charging is a different story, and they should absolutely offer free power for that.
