Permit process is moving along. Last activity was today. Tesla had some permit application deficiencies but they have solved almost all of them. County is almost ready to give it full approval to begin construction.
We may see some progress soon.

Yes, it looks like all that Tesla's contractor has to do is pay the County $690. 38 to get the permit issued.

It's possible. The permit eRecord doesn't show any inspections yet, but there is currently a paperwork hold that prevents Tesla from scheduling inspections until it is cleared. Tesla last uploaded a document to try and resolve the matter a week ago on 2021-05-28, which tells me that they might have already started construction but can't get the initial work inspected and therefore can't proceed until things are cleared up. Or, they may be trying to clear everything up before they break ground. Could go either way. If anyone is in the area, please swing by to find out some ground truth.

Nice. I just checked the permit again and the inspections hold related to a paperwork issue with the Notice of Commencement was resolved at the end of May. So you're probably seeing the first signs of imminent construction start.

Looks like that container was for fireworks stand. Just drove by today.

Passed by yesterday. Wrappers are covering the superchargers currently. Making really good progress and seems like it’s getting closer to being complete. Looks like now, according to the permit, there are multiple inspections to be completed so that it will be finished up.

A new 8-stall V3 Supercharger should be under construction in the SuperTarget parking lot along Tarpon Bay Blvd. Tesla has a location planned for North Naples in 2020 so I wouldn’t be surprised if this is it.

I drove by yesterday and it’s done, they still have plastic over the top of the chargers, so not sure when it’ll be open to use.

Also, just happened to see that this supercharger is showing up as a temporary closure on my Tesla app and on the car’s map. I have observed this similar thing when other chargers were under construction and about to open, which means this one has been making good progress. Fingers crossed.
