Stopped by this morning. No Tesla equipment on site yet, but lots of good work already done. The Burger King parking lot seems unusually large (see pic), so I wouldn’t think there would be too much ICEing here but you never know. It also looks like an 8 stall setup, but there are 12 parking spaces there. They don’t seem to be putting stalls on the last 4 spots closest to the drive thru. It is blocked with equipment and a dumpster.

This is a bit of an unusual spot, but it seems obvious to me this is a needed stop gap to fill the hole on I-26 between Asheville and Columbia. We could and should expect to see more SuC along I-26, probably even this year, as Tesla continues to grow the network.

Confirmed 8 stalls. Left a few regular parking spaces on the end close to the drive thru window so hopefully not a lot of ICEing. Plenty of parking here as it’s just a Burger King. Moving fast especially with the nice weather we had this week and projected next week.

I'm surprised it's only 8, especially since Tesla will be opening up their network CCS charging. Most new installations are 12.

To me this is temporary stop gap on I-26. More superchargers coming on I-26 I bet. This isn’t a shopping center parking lot, it’s just a Burger King. 12 parking spots is a lot for an owner to “give up” probably.

Looks like good progress on the Tesla side of the installation but the big question is "Will the power company get the transformer and meter installed and commissioned quickly?".

Tesla Spartanburg Supercharger finishing installation by Wednesday 2/22/23, however transformer and power has to be turned on and state and local inspection prior to full operation per contractor I spoke to today

There is no transformer on site. This will be awhile like the new Greenville location. I’m pretty sure they are both Duke Energy.

I noticed on Tesla's "Find Us" page that the expected opening is Q2 whereas it previously was listed as Q1. Might be a while for the power to be brought in and the transformer and meter to be installed.

You shouldn’t put any faith in the timing on Tesla’s website as it is never correct. New sites open in Q1 that say Q3, sites say Q1 and don’t go online til Q4. Happens all the time. We never really know!

Gotcha - I posted a pic from yesterday morning and there was no transformer on site. Those boxes you saw were likely the white Tesla equipment.

I stopped by on a trip today, March 19. Still waiting on the transformer, but the underground conduit out to the street has been installed. Progress.
