As someone who lives over there and sees those pins every morning, the original set of piles is never empty, even at 0530. Lots of renters live in my area, this don't have home charging.

Does Tesla even know they're both needed?
Yes, they have real-time data of usage. They know full well they are heavily utilized. If they are taking them out, there is a reason, as there are some locations around the US with a V3 colocated -- or very near -- existing V2 infrastructure. We can only hope they will be dropping in V3 or V4 hardware to replace the V2s. More likely IMO is that the mall or utility company will only allow one site in that parking lot.

The parking lot on this side CAN get pretty full, more so if valet is open.
 
The battery preheat is not working with this station. Tried using both the app navigation and the screen navigation to the new charges and neither will cause the preheat to start. No issues at other chargers in the area. 2019 Model LR AWD. 2023.27.6 FW
