I couldn't find a thread on Vernon CT. If one does please feel free to delete this thread.

I see that we have a pin from Tesla Q4 2022:

Any chance that the charger will be at the same plaza as Rein's deli?

Any hints as to locations?

Thanks!

Someone in the CT Tesla group may have some inside info on this... not sure. I've been monitoring Vernon for months ever since the pin showed up and have yet to find a permit being sought. That's one likely location. A few others in the area that I think are also possibilities include the Stop & Shop at 10 Pitkin Rd and the Tri City Shopping Center at 35 Talcottville Rd. There are also a couple of Cumberland Farms c-stores in town that I guess could be a possibility as Cumbies may now be partnering with Tesla. While not in Vernon, the Big Y supermarket nearby at 234 Tolland Turnpike, Manchester, CT 06042 is another possibility as they have partnered with Tesla too.

This isn't the only Q4'22 site in the region that has not yet been identified. Amesbury, MA is in a similar condition. Still checking on these (and others) regularly.

This appeared a moment ago. Construction could commence at any time (if it hasn't already - non electrical site work could have begun prior to this electrical permit being issued).

Not sure if this project has been progressing normally or not the past week+. If there were delays, it's *possible* it might have been permitting related. The electrical permit for this site was just issued today 4/10/23 - it's been in progress for a bit now but only came through today.

Here are some pictures that I took today. How do you know when it's online? Does the meter have to show data? Does "Tesla" have to be lit up on the superchargers?

Great questions. It looks like the Tesla equipment is installed and (presumably) hooked up, and the meter is a great sign. But I don't see a transformer yet - usually a big green box, and probably it should be on the empty pad next to the two big white supercharger cabinets. Another sign we can often spot is the power hookup from the transformer to the main power lines - often there's a new telephone pole in the area, and the hookup is done there. I'm sure others can fill in bits I'm missing.

The transformer can take weeks or months to show up.

Seems odd, normally the transformer arrives before the meter.

Great. Thanks for the info. I'll keep checking for the transformer every time I pass by.

Looks like it might be live! Transformer is installed, and there is power being fed to the meter. There are various values that the meter is scrolling through, which I’ve attached. Is that normal? Can someone go and test it?
