hey everyone,
i was able to buy a set of used tsportline m3115 which are discontinued for sometime now. i went from stock 18” rims to these and im surprised by the efficiency of these 20” wheels. they weight just little below 20lbs which is crazy lightweight and you can tell right away that these handle better and as efficient as the 18s. I didnt see many threads about these tsportline wheels on this forum. anyone got m3115 on their model 3s? feel free to ask me any questions about them. super happy about these wheels. im also looking to get michelins pilot 4 s all season for lesser firm ride.

What tires were you running on your stock 18" wheels?

I Tesla-spec 235/35R20 Michelin PS4S now on the new wheels, excellent choice there from everything I've read.

If you were still running the stock MXM4 on your 18s then your new PS4S tires are probably most of the handling upgrade. Wheels matter too but PS4S vs MXM4 will be a HUGE difference. My wife insisted we try the Tesla-spec 245/45R19 MXM4 on our Model S once and they were crap for handling - low grip and mushy feel. They were quiet, efficient, and lasted a lot of miles though, but even my wife is happier now with tires that are slightly more performance-focused.

I'd be surprised if the PSAS4 ride much smoother than the PS4S in 235/35 size. That's just not a lot of sidewall to work with, and the PSAS4 is still a performance-oriented tire, but when you make the change let us know how they feel to you!

Btw how wide are those new wheels? If they're 8.5" wide and you're looking for a slightly softer ride with a switch to PSAS4, then I suggest going with 245/35R20 for slightly more sidewall. Or if they're 9" wide then consider 255/35R20! I've read on these forums that most 255/35R20 tires fit but a few run big and don't...so I don't want to promise. 245/35R20 should be a safe fitment in any tire though, and good for either 20x8.5" or 20x9" wheels.

They look a lot like these wheels but not exact. Not my picture but I am a fan of the wheels. I've been looking for something similar to them since tsportline doesn't have them anymore.

@P3dStealth Titan7 T-S5 looks very similar. They're forged with direct Model 3 fitments available, no centering rings or spacers needed, even with M3P PUP hubs. There's a couple sizes including 20x8.5" mentioned in this thread.

T-CS5 is a similar style with different sizing.

Here's my 2021 M3P PUP on T-S5 18x8.5" ET35.

Wheels don't impact efficiency much, differences in efficiency come from the materials and design of tires. Other than the couple of aero wheel/cover options out there, wheels don't matter, even when heavier/lighter.
For the 19 V2 Sport rims, what tires would you recommend to match the efficiency of the 18 aeros?
Also for 20s like OP posted, what tires would be good for that match?

I don't think there are any tires in 19" or 20" sizes that fit the Model 3 that will match the MXM4 tires. There are a few tires that are close but don't quite come in the right width or aspect ratio. But you can pick tires that are less bad about it, here are some data points in these tests which include rolling resistance:

I went with the Pilot Sport 4 (non S) as its pretty grippy but medium efficiency rather than bad efficiency.

Correction on above, it does look like there is an MXM4 variant that comes in the 19" model 3 size suitable for the model 3, the Primacy MXM4. In a couple variants.

In 20s there isn't anything I know of. It probably gets increasingly hard to do with thinner aspect ratios but I'm not sure if it isn't possible or just nobody is interested in eco tires on sporty looking wheels.

Do you think the MXM4s are better on range than the Contintentals that come with the sport rims?

Hey! I own these wheels too, amazing. I had a curb rash hoping to replace with a used one in good condition, need the 20 x 8.5 " size which they don't make anymore. Where did you find it?
Try WheelsOnSite mobile wheel repair. They’ll repair the rash in your driveway without having to remove the tire from the car! Quite a thing to watch. Had one done last year. Came out really well, cost $180.

looking to sell them if anyone is interested i have brand new tires 245/35/20 asking $3,500 comes with BLE sensors
