Tampa Location on North Florida Avenue

I was at the Brandon Service Center early last week and there was a sign inside at the desk that said it would be open next year. They are apparently doing a significant build-out at the new location per the staff. (Wish I grabbed a pic of it.)
Yes, here's a link to a webpage of Tesla's Building Contractor, Scherer Construction, showing the build-out. Tesla Dealership Tampa, FL.

Here's their most recent aerial photo as of May 1, 2018.

I'm taking delivery in the next two weeks at US 301 location and my MVPA says Florida Ave as well. In fact, I was supposed to pick up this Friday (9/21) but was pushed out a couple of weeks. Delivery location on the website still shows US 301 location.

I was told by someone in the auto industry (no automaker affiliation) that the reason the Tampa location is not open is due to an ongoing dispute with the auto dealers association. Since Tesla does not have franchised dealers they cant open this location..
Makes sense, its been more or less ready for almost a a year.. The area it is in is surrounded by new car dealers, Id guess they are pushing hard to keep it from opening.

I doubt that's the reason, there is already a delivery center / showroom with test drives and service center on 301.

And I’ve heard from another source delivery operations will move to the Florida Ave location before the end of the year, and in fact likely well before that time. Too much uncertainty to know what’s actually going on, but I don’t believe the local ADA has the power to stop the move.

I had my Model 3 in for service on Wednesday (10/17) at 301 and they told me that deliveries are at Florida Avenue location now. My friend went by the Florida Ave location on Thursday (10/18) and no one was there around 4:00pm. Looks like they might only go there when they have deliveries scheduled or they have limited hours. The site is still in flux.

And they said the service center wouldn't be moving from 301 to Florida Ave until probably around the Q1 2019.

I just picked my car up at this location. Pretty slow traffic here but all of the employees were super nice. I arrived almost 2 hours early and they had my car ready to go within 30 minutes. The was damn near perfect and had version 9 loaded already. Mike (my delivery specialist) did point out a small gouge on the front door entry plate that I had missed. He said service would reach out to me to fix. Otherwise, the car had a 94% charge (I asked for it to be pretty fully charged as I had a 2 hour drive home) and the paint was perfect. Interior super clean as well. I overhead someone telling some customers that they had been operating out of the location for a few days and deliveries only at this point until service moves over in a few months. This is going to be a really nice location. They have room in the parking garage for literally hundreds of cars.

I live very close to this new store and pass it a few time a week, I've definitely noticed a lot more activity with cars parked during the day almost daily now.

Really hoping they start doing service here soon, really don't like driving to middle of nowhere Brandon for service
