Not sure when it was added, but under "Documents" in my Tesla account, there is now an IRA Clean Vehicles Credit Report with the necessary information from the seller . The form was signed 12/30/23, so it must have been posted to my account fairly recently.
Ditto - just found the document in my account on-line. Don't know when it was added, but does certify my MYLR is eligible for the full $7500 tax credit that was purchased in Sept.'23.
I ordered my MYLR in late January (2023) and took delivery in late March. I have no IRS15400 in my account. I tried sending a text to the number that was used to communicate with me about my delivery appointment back in March. I asked how or when I would get the document considering I didn't...
Credit to u/30jaykay for spotting this and sharing - Tesla is allowing users to request an IRS form 15400 to be generated. As far as I can tell this only works for CURRENTLY OWNED vehicles, and doesn't appear to allow for other things like changing to a different co-registrant, etc. But it's a step in the right direction.
Looks like you can request a form to be generated on the Tesla website.

Note the form was not due until today. There is no real rush since you likely will not have all the tax documents you need for a while. If you do not see the form you may wish to wait a day of two before following the procedure provided by @Skavatar.
I'd rather get all paper work done before the deadline. Its $7,500 at stake. But from what I've seen on the actual IRS forms, 15400 is not needed to actually file taxes. Its mainly for documentation purposes if you get audited.
