Tesla announced via tweet that it has narrowed hundreds of Project Loveday submissions to 10 finalists and will allow fans to vote for the winner.

The company plans to tweet links to all 10 videos. The videos that receive the most likes from fans will be shared during the Model 3 event webcast on Friday.

Following a letter from a young girl urging Tesla CEO Elon Musk to run a contest for fans to make advertisements for the company, the carmaker launched Project Loveday. The company said it was looking for the best 90-second video that relates to “Tesla, SolarCity, our products, or our mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.”

What a drag, there's an entry on there that was around 9th place this morning and suddenly got massive boost up to 2nd place over the course of a few minutes. Almost all of the likes are from Russian accounts that were just created and have 0 followers. Very obvious that someone started buying likes, hopefully Tesla responds because it really taints what has otherwise been a great contest!
