Tesla App now shows battery heater?

Sorry if this is old news, but I preheated my car this morning with the iPhone app and I noticed a red battery icon in the climate section. It shut off after about 10 minutes (but the cabin heater was still running). I believe the app now tells you when your batter is being preheated.

I don't find that battery icon on my Tesla iPhone app. Are we talking about the same app?

Yes, battery heater now illuminates when heating cabin. Saved my butt today by prewarming the battery, allowing almost full charge.

Hate to be obtuse, but this is a screen shot of climate on and I don't see an indication of the battery heating.

@ColdRauv, your pic is of the dash, not the app. I’m with @Ciaopec on this one. I have no battery icon on my iPhone app.

This battery heater thing is very confusing.

Here's what happens all the time up north:

It's -16c / 3f

Battery shows as "cold" See snow flake on the battery gauge in 1 of the pictures.

But this time, the battery heater icon never showed up.

The day before, there was not even a snowflake on the battery gauge... and the battery heater icon showed up.
