Has anyone looked at how the Tesla browser works from a network perspective? I know there is a VPN back to corporate for car<->TMC conversations, but does all internet access also follow that path?
So... basically, what I am wondering is...
if I setup a wifi AP in the car and connected the car to it, could I setup a server on that network and browse to it with the browser?
If so, this could be a really neat way of controlling 3rd party accessories in the car, simply setup a wifi connection with a mini server with a web page designed to look at home in the Tesla UI.
It seems like this is simple enough it would have already been considered and tried, but I didnt see anything in a quick search.
Thoughts?
