Kudos to ArsTechnica and the journalist for NOT explicitly mentioning Tesla, as the company has nothing to do with Apple's security and patching policies. Tesla's name would have attracted undue attention and made it easier for people to draw connections where none exist.

Paget, who goes by the title “hacker princess,” confirmed that the company has fixed at least one security flaw in its vehicles. (Since the cars have a wireless Internet connection, Tesla can update its cars over the air, like an iPhone.)

Betcha anything that the security "flaw" that was patched was the ability to connect to the car's LAN via the switch.
