Tesla Insurance - Underinsured Motorist Property Damage (UMPD) VS Collision Deductible

My options for UMPD are “No Coverage” or “$15,000”

My options for Collision Deductible are $100 to $5,000

My question is, what is the reason you’d select UMPD as $15,000 and not a collision deductible? In the Tesla App you’re not able to select both. It’s one or the other. Surely $15,000 is not enough to cover a Tesla’s repairs and what not for all of the vehicles right? It saves a ton of money per month so I understand that perspective.

See this post: Tesla insurance!, which refers to a California guide:

"Uninsured motorist property damage (UMPD): This pays for the damage to your car from an accident with an uninsured driver who is at fault. The limit is $3,500. This only pays if the uninsured driver is identified. You may not need it if you have collision coverage."

So, in setting the collision deductible, it seems that you're selecting collision, which covers both your fault and an uninsured/underinsured driver at fault.
