Tesla is red hot in China, for different reasons

Yes, one in JingQiao, one in JiaDing. Both are in surburban of Shanghai. Both have solar panel roof and energy storage installed, but obviously solar power is not enough to provide all the energy for charging, so grid supply is still necessary.

Wow, good news from China don´t seem to stop! Thanks for updating us.

The picture in your link says it is in Shanghai, too (like the 2nd SC) - but it is in another location in the city?!

The 3rd super charger station in China http://www.at-siac.com/news/detail_1498.html

All 3 super charger stations took only 2-3 weeks from ground breaking to finish.

Well based on the info we have about construction, 3 weeks is about right for expedited deployments. Most of the things taking up time is the red tape. China probably has less red tape than the us does too.

You are welcome. But be cautious that all those positive China news might not generate positive catalysts in near term. Even there will be big potential in China market, but it'll be materilized towards end of 2014 and 2015 going forward. In first half of 2014, the China delivery will be limited by infrasturcture building up like store, service cener and super charger station etc. Tesla is still production constrained, so any production ramp up probably is more exicting than order # or potential buying desire.

maoing,
Thanks for posting and providing context to the goings on in China.

100 revervations from 04/11 - 04/26, not bad! With more people test drive and own the model S from now, I think the model X reservation should ramp up.

Thanks for posting all your info Maoing.

I have a question though.

Here in Europe we can easily find out how many cars of a certain model were delivered and registered in a certain month and in a certain European country. That info doesn't come from the car manufacturers, but from the registration authority of the concerning European country. So, even if a car manufacturer doesn't want to reveal how many cars of a certain model it delivered in a certain month in a certain country, we can easily get that information, because it is published on a monthly basis.

In the US that is not the case, meaning that we cannot find out how many Tesla Model S cars were delivered/registered in the US in a certain month.

So, my question to you is: "How does that work in China"?
Do they report how many cars of a certain brand were delivered/registered in a certain month in China?
Would you be so kind to keep us updated on the monthly delivery numbers of the Tesla Model S in China?

Thanks

Frankly speaking, I don't know. I'll definitely keep updates here if I can get some clues.

Thanks for news maoing. We are all getting excited about Tesla acceptance and demand in China. For me, the near term positive catalysts are not as important as the confirmation of the theory that drivers around the world want to buy electric cars and will buy one if it is available. Tesla will be production constrained for many years to come.
