Tesla Model X driver seat replacement

My 2018 Tesla Model X has an issue with the driver seat adjustment. The seat back doesn't tilt forward all the way, so I cannot seat up right when driving. It has no issue tilting back or moving the seat base forward and back.

I took it down to the Tesla service center, and I was told the seat needs to be replaced, it could be an issue with the motors in the seat but they can't fix it. I was quoted around $4K since it's out of warranty. Are there other alternatives to fix this issue? Has anyone else had similar issue?

I had issue with mine before and I changed the module under the seat and everything was fine.

my driver seat down movement button doesn t work anymore when pressed, so i have to use the backup saved profile to have the seat set lowered down... weird...

Was this the Seat memory module? I had it replaced before but Tesla SC said that's not the issue since it's not related to the driver profile. Would you be able to look up in your service history on what module was replaced?

Just bought 2018 MX and I have the same issue with driver's seat back not reclining far enough forward.
Did you find a solution?
