Captain seat won't latch. 4.3k to replace seat.

Hi All, 2016X, first major issue which is terrible since we are just out of warranty.

The driver side captain chair doesn't latch. It goes back and forth but doesn't recline to latch. The tech I spoke to said they would need to replace the seat for $4,300.

I've searched but haven't found any others with this issue. Just seeing if anyone has any recommendation. If i do need to replace, i'll probably just drive it to the ground without anyone sitting on the chair =/

Haven't seen that as an issue specifically but start checking around with salvage yards to see what you can find.

Yea I suspect I'd take the entire existing seat apart and fix it myself before I paid over 4 grand for a replacement back seat on a 8 year old car... It's likely some silly little part they don't sell by itself.
