I'm hoping to find a deal and score a used Model 3 for $25k so I can get the new federal tax credit on used EVs. The snag I'm running into is that at this point Teslas are not yet listed as eligible for the credit (see link below). I'm guessing that Tesla needs to provide the IRS with vehicle specifications and maybe lists of VINs so that the IRS can enforce the rules of tax credit. Has anyone else noticed this? Anyone have info on if / when Tesla cars will be listed as eligible? I can't imagine why Tesla wouldn't eventually submit the needed documentation...
