Tesla offers 2022.8.5 when 11.0 is already installed?

Strange....
-- Just bought Model X 2020 from Carvana. It came with 2022.8.5 installed.
-- I clicked UPDATE and 2022.11.0 downloaded and installed.
-- NOW SOftware Update - ASKS/OFFERS to INSTALL 2022.8.5 !!!!! Which would go backward.
-- I can't see how to eliminate that backward offer.
-- Will it download 8,5? or will computer know 11.0 is already there?
-- If I accept the backward looking offer for 8.5, while 11.0 was there, will Software Update OFFER AGAIN to give me 11.0?

I think you are confusing the version of the GUI and the version of the firmware.

v11 of the GUI came in firmware version 2021.44.25. Any firmware version later than that will have v11 of the GUI.

As best I can tell, there is no 2022.11.0, nor 2022.8.5 version of the firmware. Your car may have recently updated to 2022.8.2.5.

And if there is such a version in the making and your car would have been one of the first to receive that one, Tesla might have had a good reason to immediately withdraw the deployment. This happens occasionally.

There's also a map version number and software version number. If there's an update I would just go for it.
I have a 3 and I'm in your area and I'm on version 2022.8.3 patiently waiting for the next version to check out the new custom bottom toolbar.
